The good.

Today’s singles and most people, generally speaking, are very lucky with the online choices they have compared to 10 or 20 years ago given the options the internet now offers them. 20 years ago there were far less online options than are available now days. Mobile phones are a good example of how far the internet has progressed in recent years. Several decades ago paging services or cb radios were the fastest way to contact someone when they were not at home. Today though, mobiles are used to carry out several non related functions, the actual mobile itself is just one of many features. Mobiles can be used as a video camera, surfing the internet, gps device and online dating. That right online dating…..will technology ever slow down ? I doubt it! Today’s singles can experience online dating not only from their pc and laptop but also from their mobile meaning they can organize a date 24/7 anywhere, anytime.

Another excellent advantage online dating has is the capability for singles to get right down to business and sift through the thousands member profiles until someone catches their eye. No need to feel guilty by having to tell your new internet friend your not interested, you simply move onto the next profile. Chat rooms commonly provide singles another fantastic way of communicating with other singles and still allows you an easy out if need be.

No need to spend money or even dress up to go internet dating. Some dating sites offer free online dating its just a matter of searching through the many dating sites on the internet to find them, so locating the ultimate in happiness doesn’t even need to cost you one single cent. Cancel your hairdressers appointment, for the females that is, not that its not okay for the males to book in at the hairdressers although if you are a guy who’s just signed up to an online dating site, admitting to booking in for a new hair do may not sit all that well with the girls you chat to online. Forget the make up and after shave, online dating gives you the chance to win over your next date with just your personality alone via the chat rooms.

Short of time? Does your job hold you back from getting out and socializing? Search for like minded singles in the chat rooms or via the member data base in a matter of minutes, fire off emails and chat invitations to those you find attractive, then simply go back to your normal daily routine. Check back online during the day or several days later and you may have a nice surprise waiting for you in your messages.

The bad.

Some singles can become too reliant on using online dating sites and can end up socially separated from real life social possibilities. For those who fall into this category should be careful that you don’t lose important social skills by relying on online dating services too often. Use it but try not to abuse it. Like anything in life, participate in online dating, but in moderation.

Singles interviewed in studies conducted by Professor Parnizky from Macintosh University who claim to being addicted to online dating said that their first thought was to log on to a dating site in search of love, rather than to venture out offline to put themselves in a situation where they could possibly meet with other singles in the offline world. These same singles mainly indicated that they felt they were losing and had all but lost touch with finding a romantic partner conventionally.

A regular complaint online dating members spoke of was that when they met their online dating friend in person, certain physical features were some what different to what was stated on their member profile. Their photos were not current, or were taken in a studio or sometimes wasn’t even them.

For those thinking about online dating, don’t get too hung up with this dating option and use these services to your advantage but don’t over do it. Treat it as some fun and don’t have alot of expectations, this is the best way to approach online dating and you just never know what you may find.

At the end of a long day at work, what better way to enjoy the evening than to share it with your heart’s companion – your Soulmate. Not only is having a love relationship a healthy way to live, but you’ll feel more fulfilled as a person too.

As an Online Dating Coach, I’ve had the pleasure of working with clients worldwide. People just like you have contacted me from all over the world wanting online dating advice… with the ultimate goal of finding their Soulmate – no matter where he or she may be living. In the global community we all live in today, connecting with and meeting singles online is the most natural thing imaginable.

Today I’ll be your Dating Coach while I share some helpful online dating tips. With my online dating advice to guide you, learning how to find your Soulmate through online dating can be fun and easy – so let’s get started!

A Dating Coach Offers some Tips for Success

One of your first and most important decisions is your commitment to joining an online dating service. Whether you join a large dating site with millions of members, or a dating service that targets matches within a smaller niche, your online dating success will, to a large extent, be the result of how well your Online Dating Profile is written. With this in mind, here are the first steps to finding your Soulmate.

First, make a commitment to joining one or more paid dating services, each of which has enough members living in your general vicinity so you’ll have a variety of prospective Soulmates to choose from.

As your Dating Coach, I’ll help you create your Online Dating Profile, since this will become your “Online Dating Brochure” and “calling card.”

Then, decide who you would truly like to meet. Your online dating services can help you to some extent, but always keep in mind that you’re using computer matching for your introductions. Therefore, to take full advantage of the technology, it would be helpful to first understand how it works! Online Dating services match their clients by performing both a keyword search, as well as a simple match of the preferences you’ve assigned in your Online Dating Profile. When the online dating services ask you to select your “interests and hobbies” for example, you’ll be much better off selecting as many of them as you can while still being truthful. Let’s say, for example, that under “interests and hobbies” you have 25 options to choose from. If you select only one of them, then you’ll be matched with site members who have made that one selection too. Computer matchmaking works by matching the words or phrases from your dating profile with those of other members within your chosen age range and geographic area, while applying your preferences for height, hair color, drinking and smoking habits, and so on. So one of the secrets to getting more matches is to be more flexible with the options you choose, just like in the example I’ve given.

Finally, and most important of all, to take full advantage of the online dating services you join, whether you’re a man or a woman, take the initiative and send some letters of introduction – and if possible, do this every day. Don’t expect the online dating services to do all of the work! My best advice to you as your dating coach is to become pro-active – and be responsible for your success!

Have you ever looked at your friends who have long term partners and wondered why you haven’t got that in your life? Do you ever wonder when Mr. or Ms. Right will come along, and what the hold up is? Have you ever thought if perhaps, possibly, you’re doing something that could be keeping them at bay?

Conventional dating and online dating in the new millennium is vastly different, thanks to the internet, however still very much similar as it has always been for singles. Take a look at some of the more common mistakes singles make when starting to date new people. Perhaps you’re making some of these mistakes?

Lets assess your appearance and personal hygiene?

Take some time to get ready for your date. Clean your teeth. Refresh your breath. When you chat with your date, bad breath will surely be a turn off. SHOWER! Men, be sure to use deodorant. Ladies, don’t go overboard on the makeup or perfume. Select a pleasant looking outfit to wear and be sure it is suitable for the date. You wouldn’t wear an Armani suit when on a picnic, and you wouldn’t wear ug boots to the opera.

Make sure you are well mannered?

When singles are dating and trying to chat there are fewer turn-offs than a date who piles their dinner into his or her mouth, or even swears. Females who make snide remarks and chat about others during conversation is in pretty poor taste, and male singles who don’t hold doors open and other basic courtesies will find themselves getting the cold shoulder at the end of the night. “Please,”, “thanks,” and “excuse me” are important phrases to employ; they show your date that you are a respectful person.

Don’t chat constantly, let your date have some breathing space. Exposing your life history in day one? Nattering on regarding esoteric knowledge that may not interest him?

Everyone likes to be listened to. Your date is no exception! Whilst you may think the story of your life to be very fascinating, odds on that generally the first couple of dates, that guy probably isn’t all that interested in hearing every detail of your life in high school. That lovely little women most likely wont share your deep and enduring interest with vintage belt buckles, either. Singles should chat openly and ask and each other light hearted questions. Touch on these subjects, no problem, but don’t harp on them to the exclusion of all else, be sure that your date has ample time to talk, as well. These tips always apply whether you are dating in person, or you are in a private chat via an online dating service.

Make sure you pay attention when she is chatting to you?

“Uh huh,” “yep,” “Oh, right…”  – these remarks are a death knell to the start of a friendship. This implies that you’re distracted, not giving full attention to your date’s conversation. No one enjoys being on the sidetracks of someone’s thoughts, especially when they’re dating. LISTEN to him. Make remarks that show you are giving her full attention. “Really, your boss said THAT?” “and, where DID you decide to go?”

If you met through an online dating service, do you really look like that picture you uploaded?

This is a HUGE and frequent error many singles make when using online dating and chat rooms. They upload a photo from five years or fifteen Kilograms ago, or have a studio shot done, and wonder why their date looks let down or shocked when they meet for the first date.

We all want to appear at our very best and present the best possible appearance, however uploading out-dated and unrealistic photos is not the answer. Take or find a few photos that truly represent how you look RIGHT NOW. Don’t just fob off what is actually a work of fiction as fact.

Are you posing? Acting arrogant and conceited?

If you consistently pull that large wad of currency out, chat about your amazing achievements in sport, your job, and life, or take too much time removing that pocket compact to maintain your mascara, you’re going down a wrong track. Many singles dislike a flash date. Try to be a little more modest.

Don’t be TOO modest!

No one wants to reassure their date all night. “I honestly hope you think I look okay!,” “I’m such a huge clumsy galah!” and similar are NOT good conversation starters, or serious relationship starters. Show alittle self-confidence, however don’t be arrogant and conceited about it. It can be a fine line, often, but not that hard to find.

Not always a good idea to focus on sex too quickly?

Sex is the best way to kill a budding romance. Guys, when you try to bed her too quickly, you’re sending her the signal that all she is, is just a convenient body to be enjoyed to satisfy your desire, that you’re not really looking for a long term romance. Ladies, even in this new millennium, jumping into bed too quickly tells men that you’re heaps of fun in the sack, but not the sort of women they want to bring home and introduce to Mum and Dad.

When is the right time to go that extra step? That’s difficult to say, however certainly do not try within the first three to five dates. Allow some time to get to know your dating partner before you move onto sex. If the time is right, you will know. Those singles looking for a quickie, try your luck with adult online dating sites, or the local night club or bar.

Putting it in perspective.

With the first couple of dates, the answer is to allow time getting to know them, while giving him or her enough opportunity to realize who you are, also . Chat, listen, and be respectful. Don’t forget that the person you are dating is probably just as nervous as yourself, so try to be forgiving if they make mistakes. They will probably be more likely to dismiss your little errors in return!

A first date should be light-hearted, cheerful, and enjoyable. So keep it pleasant and upbeat, you’re so much more likely to have a return date, and who knows? This first date might be the last first date and the start of something special!

National studies show that 25% of all single adults have paid for the use of Online Dating Services – and – that number is expected to increase to 50% over the next five to seven years!

Will you be one of those who come aboard?

Because of the explosive growth of Online Dating – and especially if you yourself are single and looking for a partner online – it may be helpful to learn the best ways to use Online Dating Sites before actually joining one of them! As an Online Dating Coach, I want to help you make the best use of your time and money in your quest to find your Soulmate.

First and foremost, as in any relationship, honesty will be the most important factor in your finding a partner who shares your values and personal interests.

What type of relationship are you looking for? If you’d like to find someone who’s fun to be with so you can have some play time on the weekends, by stating your goal honestly right at the beginning, there will be a much greater likelihood of meeting someone who has the same vision.

One of the obvious side-benefits of this is your avoiding a series of uncomfortable conversations later about why you won’t commit to the relationship, or why you’re not willing to spend more time together, etc.

Another useful tip when entering the world of Online Dating is to match your choice of dating sites with the type of relationship you’re seeking. If you’re looking for a weekend companion “without any strings attached,” there are dating sites you can join whose members feel the same way. On the other hand, if your goal is to meet someone for marriage, you’d be better off starting with an online dating site whose members have the same intentions. As a Dating Coach, one of the first steps in working with new clients is my assessing their innermost values. By starting with this step, I can better recommend the dating sites that will deliver appropriate matches.

If you’re tired of random dating and not finding someone compatible, then my advice is to join the better known online dating sites which charge for their matchmaking services. Most of these companies use sophisticated compatibility software which match the subtleties of your unique personality. They will also match the basics like your marital status, religion, and education. By asking in-depth questions, and having you rate their importance, many online dating sites produce high success rates for meetings between the same clients. In other words, the match made through the dating service was pleasant enough so both parties wanted to see each other again after their first date.

Finally, to be safe in your quest to find your Soulmate, consider using an anonymous email address (through Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, or something similar) without assigning your true name (and certainly not your last name) to your account, nor should you include your home telephone number. It’s best to get to know someone through the dating site first, before providing this information.

After your initial online email exchange and perhaps one or two IM chat sessions, you should be ready (assuming all goes well) to make plans for a telephone conversation. The proper online dating etiquette would be for the woman to call the man first, blocking her telephone number from Caller ID. Only after one or two successful telephone calls should a face-to-face meeting at a coffee shop be scheduled.

In the interest of safety, always plan your first couple dates in a public place, and even better if it’s during the day. Do not pick up or ask to be picked up for the date. Meet each other at a mutually agreed upon location, and also agree ahead of time to leave each other from a public place so you can drive home in your own cars. If your potential date balks at the suggestion to not be in a vehicle together, look elsewhere for sure. It’s not worth your safety to try to figure out if the person you met online may just be over-sensitive or unaware of the “rules.”

By following these simple guidelines, you can make online dating a success. By the second date, if all goes well, trust should be established and you’ll be on your way to building your next relationship!

Record amounts of singles are logging onto free online dating sites this Xmas and new years vacation period. Data collected from an Australian online dating site attributes the spike in memberships to the worldwide recession and economic doubtfulness.

An absolute majority of members who have of late joined free Australian online dating sites have signaled in a new public opinion poll that a dubious future and a rugged 2008 on numerous fronts have made them re-arrange their lifetime priorities.

Attaining a permanent relationship, as opposed to merely encountering a good time was on many singles schedules for this vacation period, and with the offering of free dating sites, there is little question as to why so many singles are taking on this option which can be found easily by searching on the internet.

A slump in business at common city bars and nightspots signal that young singles are looking for options such as online dating sites and chat rooms this holiday time of year as a way of economizing their money. There is with no uncertainty that young Australians are jointly concerned about their futures and are turning to each other for respite.

More and more, the internet is viewed as a means for dejected singles to assembled in chat rooms and chat sites. Free online dating sites have seen their website traffic grow by about 300% over the past two weeks, which constitutes growth of more than 200% compared with the equivalent period of time in 2007.

A combination of work uncertainness, financial severity, shaky international leadership and with additional hard times hovering, looks to be driving singles and free online dating search engine traffic well beyond the norm.

Some other fascinating statistics that has developed from the poll information is that out of the newest 1000 members who have signed on to the Australian online dating site that helped with this article, 718 of them have not utilised online dating sites before. This genuine information lays to rest conjecture that online dating sites are losing customers.

In a multiple choice study supplied to 60 female members, 51 of these members suggested that safety constituted the primary reason for converting to the internet to find their better halves as opposed to hazarding their fortune at a populace and oftentimes unsafe city locale. The majority of singles over the age of 28 who utilised online dating sites determined that getting together with new singles through their present friends was hard as virtually all were in attached relationships.

Free online dating sites usually take approximately 3 minutes to register and members can commence e-mailing other singles at once. The genuine free dating sites will at no stage ask you for your credit card, or to pay a membership. Many free dating sites offer advanced features such as visibility pairing, public and non public chat rooms, web cam chat and instantaneous file and photograph exchange.

Reputable dating sites will often be able to provide lots of selective information and useful articles to aid those who are brand-new to online dating sites and may seek advice in developing their profile. Client services can usually be obtained via e-mail for any queries associating with joining up

Many online dating sites ask that you supply a direct header message (opening line) that shows up  below your username as people do searches. A lot of people do not know what to set up here and finish with generic headings like, “I might be the one for you” or “hi”.

It is critical that you apply this space to produce a profile heading subject matter that compels attention – something ingenious, amusing, or unemotional that will cause an individual to want to click on your profile and study it.

There are numerous factors that go into producing a profile that people will desire to click to study. One is your photograph, another comprises your username, and then there’s your heading. Here are four precise hints for producing an expert profile heading:

1) Avert dull and Overused headings

When an individual can’t decide on what to articulate for their heading content, they normally fall back to basic and overused headings suchlike “I might be the one” or “searching to contact new people.”

You do not need to appear average. There are tens of 1000s of singles vying with you in a pursuit to find that “flawless” partner. Hence make certain that the heading you use will appeal the attention of other singles. Which one of these four online dating profile headings would draw in your attention?

“Hi”

“You might be the One I’m searching”

“Searching to Meet hot People”

“I’m Willing to Lie About How We Got Together!”

Three from those are overused. One adopts an amusing approach to the concept of saying to others how you got together. It’s unusual and smart. Make certain your heading is rare in a sea of commonness.

2) Examine different Profile headings

One of the better ways to create a successful dating profile heading is to examine headings other people use that matter to you. What is it about the heading that causes you to want to click on their profile and discover more? Here are  some of our favourites (a few funny, a few philosophical, and some plainly intelligent):

“We create a magic couple: I’ve have the brains and you have got the body!”

“Alright, I’m here. Now what’s your additional two wishes?”

“Bright spark searching to ignite common paths”

“Precisely like a new job, I provide excellent benefits.”

“Strangers are acquaintances waiting to be established.”

Apply the perceptivity you gain from studying interesting profile headings to produce your own.

3) Apply Your heading as a Filter

One of the greatest complaints we discover from online dating members is the amount of singles who contact them that are not what they’re searching for .It possibly could be a man 15 years their senior or somebody who’s physical structure type does not equate what you want. Whenever you want to improve the pursuit shown to you by eligible responders, then commence by using your heading to filter out unwanteds. For instance:

“Seeking fit 24-30 year old male single inside 20 miles of City of the Angels”

By producing a filter, when an individual who does not fit your criteria discovers your heading they are probably likely to carry on on. However when a “fit 24-30 year old local male” studies the heading, it draws him because he fulfills your criteria. Here are some genuine filter type content headings we’ve seen singles use on online dating sites:

“Must be at minimum 5′10″ to advance on this ride”

“Please be localised, healthy, over 40, and have a REAL picture.”

“Loving men appear to be nonexistent. If you’re extinct, contact me at once.”

“I love an adult male in uniform. Military gentlemen, apply within.”

Better your matches by applying your subject heading to filter your outcomes!

4)Alter Your Header subject matter

It is always a sound idea to keep your profile refreshing by rotating your pictures and altering your header subject matter once in awhile. Every week produce a new and clever, imaginative, or filtered content heading. Contrasting subject headers appeal to different people, consequently you may reach “new” singles by keeping your header new and updated.

To succeed with online dating you need to stop and think about it. Like anything in life that is popular, online dating sites are full of competitors just as eager as you are to find the “one” Successful members using online dating sites use a strategy to succeed! What will your individual online dating strategy be that could change your life forever?

If your trying to get your head around how virtual online dating works, picture a 3d experience or a real life event happening before your eyes. Virtual online dating can be set in any environment and can create any atmosphere.

There are a few dating sites currently trialing this concept and reports emerging are finding that women are generating higher registrations than men. Traditionally, men have been the initiators with online dating sites, but the fact is that women have been the initiators with virtual online dating. This can be attributed to women having full control over the selection process, they feel safe, and it ultimately leads to more successful real life dates.

Virtual internet dating has recently been proclaimed by American scientific researches as the next big online singles craze and is set to bring virtual dates into your local cafe or lounge room giving singles the power to end the date or to continue on. This virtual experience helps singles to get acquainted in a fun and safe online surrounding before the real deal. Singles get to know each other by listening to music, playing games encouraging conversation, and interaction through life like 3d avatars. Sounds amazing doesn’t it!

One of the main reasons virtual online dating was developed is to encourage more women to become involved. According to Matt Fuller, a highly respected Australian online dating consultant, women were tired and frustrated with the experience offered by current online dating services. “Females are tired of being bombarded with multiple emails from guys” When a women opens her inbox to find 100s of (mostly rubbishy) emails, most busy women don’t have the time to sift through them all and to then make a short list of the decent emails, especially if this is happening on a daily basis.

Virtual online dating is definitely a women friendly product ticking all the boxes that traditional dating sites don’t offer. Recent trails with this new dating software showed that it facilitates more disclosure and presents the chance for a greater opportunity for mutual attraction to flourish. Females were more than 40% more likely to ask someone on a virtual date as opposed to through chat rooms, instant messenger or by email, and were 3 times more likely to respond and accept and invitation to go on a virtual date rather than jumping straight into the unknown of a real life date.

The Online Dating Industry is exploding with millions of new members joining every single day. It is estimated that within the next five years, almost 50% of all single adults will use Online Dating Services to meet other singles!

As more and more people use online dating services and dating agencies to help them find their Soulmates, a new specialty service has emerged in the form of an Online Dating Coach. While the online dating sites compile your personal information so they can do the matchmaking, a Dating Coach works directly with the clients to help them establish and develop the relationships which start within the agency. A Dating Coach has the responsibility of helping clients effectively market themselves on the dating site. Essentially, an Online Dating Coach provides personal coaching services to clients so they can put their best foot forward in making contact with the other dating site members.

An Online Dating Coach is a dating specialist who, after interviewing and working with a client and using special coaching assessment tools, will help the client put his or her thoughts, feelings, and values on paper (so to speak) and in doing so create the client’s Online Dating Profile which will be seen by the other members.

In addition to this, an Online Dating Coach will help his clients see how their thoughts and feelings are affecting their dating matches, and will offer guidance and feedback to enhance the client’s likelihood of success. In many cases, a Dating Coach’s clients have been away from the single marketplace for a good number of years. Therefore a bit of rehabilitation is helpful for some clients as a way to familiarize them with 21st century dating practices. A lot has changed in the world of dating in the past ten or twenty years – indeed, even in the past five years have dating rituals evolved!

A Dating Coach usually works by phone, and typically, weekly or twice-a-week telephone coaching sessions are scheduled at the convenience of the client, sometimes after work and occasionally on the weekends. At the beginning of the coaching process, a Dating Coach will do an initial assessment to get the larger picture of what’s occurred in the client’s personal life. During that assessment, the client’s personal values are mined through a series of open-ended questions. This interview sets the stage for the effective coaching sessions that follow.

Ongoing coaching sessions with a Dating Coach may be as simple as meeting by phone for an hour to discuss the men or women you’ve dated over the past week, or they may become as intricate as having your Dating Coach listen carefully while you practice flirting with strangers, or role playing to get ready for “the big night out.”

Perhaps the most important aspect of selecting a Dating Coach is investigating their professional academic credentials. You’ll want to make sure that your Dating Coach has been professionally trained of course. A Dating Coach who has a background in Psychology or Social Work (if not both) can be very helpful in drawing out the qualities of a client’s personality that he or she may not even be aware of themselves. The Dating Coach can then help the client express themselves so their dates have the benefit of their true feelings and personality. As a simplistic but illustrative example, shyness in a person is often mistaken for conceit. The person who seems unfriendly is often just bashful, but this quality may lead to a misunderstanding – especially on a first date. A properly trained Dating Coach can resolve this type of issue by helping the client compensate for his or her shyness and even make it work in their favor.

As with any form of counseling, when you seek the assistance of a Dating Coach, be objective but also look within so you choose someone who sincerely wants to help you. The more your Dating Coach is willing to work with you as his client, the more committed he is to providing the service he’s promised. At the very least, the service of a Dating Coach will help you learn more about yourself and make you more comfortable with the personality you express to the world. Since a large part of dating is your wish to feel good about yourself through the companionship of another, just feeling better about yourself overall will make your life richer for having had the experience of being coached. And feeling better about yourself can easily lead you to the relationship you’ve been dreaming about – and the reason you joined that dating service in the first place!

Jay Reiss is an Online Dating Coach who has worked with more than two thousand clients worldwide! He’ll help you design your Online Dating Profile and show you how to succeed with Online Dating! Have you met someone through online dating that you are now trying to get rid of? There are plenty of ways to finish up the friendship nicely. Try to remember that you should always treat others the way you would like to be treated yourself.

Obviously with online dating, much as in real life, the friendship moves through various stages. Different stages can require different ways of saying, or sending, the dreaded “It’s not you, it’s me”.

New friends are probably the easiest to brush off. If you have only been chatting a few times and haven’t gotten to the stage of exchanging personal details, there are a couple of ways to go. There are 2 extremely popular ways of giving your online dating friend the brush off at this stage. Personally I think both of them are a bit cowardly. The first is to just stop answering your friend’s emails. They usually get the hint and stop messaging you. The other is to constantly think up new excuses as to why you shouldn’t move to the next stage.

Why not just be a little honest? Why not say something like “It’s been great chatting but I don’t think there is any point in continuing”. Making up excuses can just leave the other person hanging on and continuing to message you till they get the hint. (Some people are slower than others.)

Online dating friends that you have exchanged details with or even dated a few times can be a bit more tricky. If you have met up on a date then you should tell them you are no longer keen. Ignoring phone calls, texts and emails is the coward’s way out. Give the person a call and tell them that you don’t think it is going to go anywhere. There is no need to be rude. If you have actually met up in person then dumping them by text or email is rude. You can either call them and tell them, or wait for them to contact you and then decline the date, explaining there won’t be any more dates.

Are You Being Given The Brush Off?

These statements and behaviours are virtual guarantees that they are no longer interested:

Unanswered messages and phone calls.

Your phone calls always go straight through to voice mail or message bank.

“We need to talk”.

“It’s not you, it’s me.”

“We just aren’t in the same place right now.”

“I’m too busy for a relationship right now.”

Effective and Fast Brush Off Lines:

I want to get married and have your baby as soon as possible.

I think I might be gay.

With approximately sixty new online dating sites being launched each week globally, its little wonder that singles are becoming more and more cautious about which dating sites are the real deal. Research compiled for this article includes topics on what to avoid, and some factual information that will assist singles on choosing a great dating site.

Dating sites that bombard you with emails from other “so called” members the minute you register are best avoided. Chat room pop ups and the like are a distinct sign of a dodgy dating site. Try not to let yourself be drawn in with such tactics. Misrepresentations are extremely common in the dating industry. In a recent lawsuit, a Scotts-dale dating service agreed to pay $500,000 in restitution and fines settling a lawsuit filed by the State Attorney General. The Scots-dale dating service engaged sales tactics and misrepresentations to sell over priced memberships.

Other alarming research states that around 50% of people tell lies on their online dating profile. What these people hope to achieve by this tactic is extremely short sighted as real life meetings will always uncover the truth which is seeing more and more genuine singles losing faith with their online dating experiences.

There is no way that anyone in their right mind would fork out a $50.00 subscription for an online dating membership to a new and unknown dating site when there are several tried and trusted dating sites with 100s of 1000s of singles on their database.

Out of the sixty new dating sites launched each week, it is thought that around only 5% will have any sort of success. So the only thing accomplished by this daily influx of free online dating sites is that the consumer is left disillusioned, frustrated and disappointed with the whole selection process. To find the dating site that is the real deal always go for one that has a huge database and that is well known.

A few recommendations are eHarmony, match, rsvp, cupid & hookmeup. Remember, the large dating sites are successful because they have poured millions of dollars into promoting their sites and they need your subscriptions to stay in business and to continue offering singles legitimate online dating services. U.S based dating site match spent over 100 million dollars in advertising last year. A new dating site can be designed and launched for a few hundred dollars. Which of these dating sites do you think will bring you the best results?
